Residential Support Providers (Roommates and Neighbors), along with those providing respite support, have to be protected. As a provider/contractor did you know that your personal home or tenant’s liability insurance usually does not provide protection for you if something happens arising out of the residential care of clients? That support is considered a business operation and personal property policies do not cover business ventures of this nature. You are also not covered under the agency your work for as an independent contractor.
